Serie mit einer Auswahl der 36 schönsten und berühmtesten Kurtisanen und Texten zu ihrem Leben. Hier die Kurtisane Yatsuhashi mit ihrer kleinen kamuro. Die Kurtisane hat einen Zahnstocher im Mund. Auf den Schiebetüren das mit der Kurtisane namensgleiche Motiv “Yatsuhashi 八ツ橋” (Stegbrücke mit Schwertlilien, Motiv aus dem Ise monogatari 伊勢物語). Im Garten Glühwürmchen (hotaru).
