    ōju Toyokuniga 應需豊國画 Serie mit einer Auswahl der 36 schönsten und berühmtesten Kurtisanen und Texten zu ihrem Leben. Hier die hochrangige Kurtisane Takao mit üppigem Haarschmuck und prächtigem Kimono. Neben ihr zwei kamuro 禿. Neujahrsszene mit dem typischen Neujahrsschmuck vor dem Haus: kadomatsu 門松 (Kiefer-Bambus-Gestecke). Der Schmuck oben ist ebenfalls typisch für das Neujahr: ein gespanntes Seil, darauf ein Schmuck aus Papierstreifen, Garnele und Farne. Die Frau im schwarzen Kimono ist vielleicht eine geisha(?).
