Description
-
The attribution of this suite of furniture to Joseph Danhauser is based on a number of designs for seating furniture preserved in the MAK Works on Paper Collection. Although these drawings do not correspond exactly in all details to the furniture, there can be no doubt of the authorship for its design and execution. This corroborates the fact that Danhauser was able to combine the construction and decorative details of various models by typifying and standardizing his production.
