Description
    "Dyed ground" (jizomari 地染). Gokaibishi 五階菱 (also: mizoguchibishi 溝口菱) is a diamond combination of 5 diamonds of different sizes. Stencils for komon 小 紋 ("fine pattern") are mostly made in the drill cutting technic. The pattern of komon is not oriented in a specific direction and is so fine that it appears monochrome from a distance.
