Gototei Kunisadaga 五渡亭國貞画
Hinter der Bühne in einem Theater in Ōsaka. Der Blick auf drei Garderobenräume ist freigelegt. Je ein Raum gehört einer Schauspieler-Familie: Nakamura 中村 (rechts oben), Ichikawa 市川 (links oben) und Iwai 岩井 (links unten). Der Blick auf den Garderobenraum rechts unten (Bandō 坂東) bleibt dem Betrachter verwehrt. In den Gängen tummeln sich Schauspieler, Bedienstete und Fans. Bei Izzard scheinen alle Namen der dargestellten Schauspieler auf.
