Der Kabuki-Schauspieler Onoe Matsusuke I. 初代尾上松助 (1744-1815), der ab 1809 den Namen Onoe Shōroku 尾上松綠 trug. Leiter schreibt über ihn: “... he is remembered mainly for his contributions to the ghost play genre in which he got to make eerie transformations and quick changes (hayagawari).” (vgl. Lit.: Leiter). Matsusuke ist hier in einer solchen Geisterrolle zu sehen.
