Rokuyatagōshi 六弥太格子 is a pattern of interlaced squares that are in turn nested three times. Since the stage appearance of Ichikawa Danjūrō VIII 八代目市川団十郎 (1823-18549) as Okabe Rokuyata, this pattern has been called "rokuyatagōshi".
