Description
    "Dyed ground" (jizomari 地染). Pines partly with asa no ha 麻の葉 (hemp leaf) pattern, mesh (amime 網目) with seigaiha 青海波 (blue ocean waves) and plover motif. Kasamatsu 笠松: "plaited" hat pine tree; pine tree with branches spread on all sides. The pattern of evergreen pine trees that withstand the severe winter cold is auspicious and a symbol of both longevity and sobriety, as well as the prosperity of the descendants.
