Description
    "Dyed ground" (jizomari 地染). Kikkō 亀甲 with floral motif, singly and multiply. Stencil dealers' seal (shōin 商印) at the bottom of the stencil. Stencils for komon 小 紋 ("fine pattern") are mostly made in the drill cutting technic. The pattern of komon is not oriented in a specific direction and is so fine that it appears monochrome from a distance.
