  • stamp: Schlecht lesbar, in der Mitte eine Art Dach (山形 yamagata = Bergform) und toku 徳 erkennbar. Rechts davon: Tōri ... chō 通...町 (Tōri Abura chō 通油町 - ein Viertel in Edo, heute: Chūō-ku, Nihonbashi Ōdenma-chō) und ganz links: Kidogiwa 木戸際 ("nächst Kido"). Ein Stempel von: Katatoku 形徳 (Geschäftsname? Möglicherweise die Kurzform des Namens: 形屋徳衛兵 Kataya Tokubee) in Tōri Abura chō 通油町 (ein Viertel in Edo, heute: Chūō-ku, Nihonbashi Ōdenma-chō) bei Kidogiwa 木戸際 ("nächst Kido 木戸").
Description
    "Dyed ground" (jizomari 地染). Stencils for komon 小 紋 ("fine pattern") are mostly made in the drill cutting technic. The pattern of komon is not oriented in a specific direction and is so fine that it appears monochrome from a distance.
