Description
    Blatt 36, Station 35. Tōkaidō-Serie (Tōkaidō gojūsan tsugi 東海道五十三次) von Hokusai mit 56 Blätter, wobei sich im MAK 48 Blätter dieser Serie befinden. Reisende auf der Landstraße, die hier entlang eines kleinen Flusses verläuft. Vor dem Baum ein Gedenkstein mit der Inschrift „Koshintō 庚申塔“ (Koshin-Denkmal). Koshin wurde als der Gott der Straßen verehrt. Ihm wurde geopfert, wenn nahestehende Personen auf Reisen gingen.
