Utamarohitsu 歌麿筆
Das „nördliche Freudenviertel (Hokukaku 北廓)“ war ein anderer Name für Yoshiwara. Aus diesem Freudenviertel werden hier einzelne Kurtisanen miteinander verglichen. Hochrangige Kurtisane (typische Frisur, üppiger Haarschmuck) beim Rauchen einer Pfeife. Der Kimono ist mit Kranichen (Symbol für langes Leben) verziert.
