About MAK Collection Online
The MAK Collection Online is the public's window to the house's objects. While only around 0.2 percent of the collection can be physically exhibited, approximately 60% of the object records recorded in the database can be viewed online. With around 280,000 object data sets, the MAK opens up an extensive and diverse treasure trove of science and an interested public alike. In this way, it is also possible to take a look at objects that are currently being restored, in storage or even in exhibitions at other institutions.
The MAK Collection Online includes a representative cross-section of the collection areas of Asia, library and art print collection, design and digital culture, contemporary art, glass and ceramics, furniture and woodwork, metal and the Wiener Werkstätte archive as well as textiles and carpets. The collection presentation is constantly being expanded and continually updated.
